Who I Am

Driving Innovation, Experience Design and All Things Creative

Having over two decades experience leading creative initiatives, I’ve worked in both agency and in-house environments. My expertise entails planning, direction, production and presentation of a wide variety of design formats, currently focused on digital and physical technologies. During my career, I’ve teamed up with Coca-Cola, DuPont, Siemens, Ritz-Carlton, SCA North America – and for the past eight years, Disney.

While early in at Parks and Resorts Online, I collaborated on a full redesign of the Walt Disney World website and mobile app (Next Generation Experience), the creation of a digital campaign to celebrate the opening of Magic Kingdom Park’s New Fantasyland, and a visual brand overhaul of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

I then moved to the Disney Parks & Products Digital division, where I led various Experience Design and Innovation teams and evangelized the integration of emerging technologies into our Parks in untapped ways. During my tenure, I also served as Creative Director for the Disneyland Paris App and oversaw the Disney Parks Hyperion Design System, as well as the Disney Parks Global Design Program in North America, Europe and Asia.

Today, I am part of Walt Disney Imagineering and serve as a Creative Director focused on the application of digital technologies and interactives throughout our Parks and Physical Experiences — obsessed with the process of place-making that delights our Guests and honors our tradition of storytelling.

I am a father to four amazing children. I love going to the Parks with family and friends, help lead 110 Theory – a co-op design agency, and am a musician finally getting around to writing some new material.

What My Colleagues Have Said

Justin was able to fully support my team’s creative needs and his main focus of completely reinventing disneyworld.com, including our Fantasyland expansion, keeping a positive attitude through extremely long hours and high stress deadlines.

Ryan Ruth / Disney

Justin has senior-level creative skills. He has the kind of “good in the room” presence that only comes from a successful agency background. He knows how to pitch a creative idea, and, more importantly for me, he knows how to execute and deliver on that idea.

Chris Chandler / Philosophie

I find Justin to be talented, responsive, responsible, passionate, energetic, articulate, detailed…I’m running out of adjectives. He is open to all ideas and suggestions. And topping it off, he’s just an all around good guy anyone would enjoy working with.
